DUSHANBE, 12.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 9, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Firdavs Tolibzoda, and Tajikistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ashrafjon Gulov, met with the Chairman of the Central Bank of the UAE, Khaled Mohammed Salem Balama Al Tameemi.
The parties discussed current matters concerning the banking system and expressed their readiness to enhance and broaden interbank relations in areas such as banking supervision, payment systems, and combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
As a result, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Information Exchange between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.
This document aims to strengthen cooperation in the banking sector of both countries, facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and initiate a new level of collaboration.
