Therefore, on the occasion of the 32nd Anniversary of Independence, the President of Uzbekistan has granted a group of foreign investors the “Dustlik” (Friendship) Order, including Mr. Seifi Ghasemi, Chairman, President and CEO of Air Products from the United States of America.
In a conversation, Mr. Seifi Ghasemi discussed the positive impact of international awards on his future activities and the business environment and conditions created for foreign investors.
He expressed his delight in representing the more than 23,000 employees of Air Products worldwide in receiving the “Dustlik” Order from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He also noted that such recognitions demonstrate a shared commitment to work together and increase the potential of the energy sector of Uzbekistan. At Air Products, the company’s mission is to bring people together to collaborate and create solutions to energy and environmental issues in the world.
Mr. Seifi Ghasemi also commented on the changes taking place in Uzbekistan, especially the business environment and conditions created for foreign investors. He mentioned the investment agreement between Air Products and Uzbekneftegaz JSC (UNG) to acquire, own, and operate a natural gas-to-syngas processing facility in Qashqadaryo Province, Uzbekistan for US$1 billion.
