DUSHANBE, 10.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As of October 6, 222,258 metric tons of cotton had been harvested in Tajikistan, which is 52% of the goal, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
54,748 tons were collected in the Sughd region, 165,792 tons in the Khatlon region, and 1,718 tons in the districts and cities of republican subordination.
Currently, all cotton-growing cities and district have declared the “60 days of hard work!” campaign to ensure a complete cotton harvest.
Cotton is one of the primary export commodities of Tajikistan. Every year, the nation typically gathers an average of 430,000 tons of raw cotton, and about 200,000 hectares are planted with this agricultural crop.
