On Tuesday, Krafton Inc. reported its third-quarter net income of 211.6 billion won (US$161.8 million), which was a 6.5% decrease from the previous year.
The company’s operating profit for the July-September period was 189.3 billion won, which was a 30.9% increase from the same period a year ago. Sales also rose 3.8% to 450.3 billion won.
The earnings exceeded market expectations, with the average prediction of net profit by analysts standing at 125.4 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
