SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Yonhap) — Korean Air Co., South Korea’s leading airline, announced Friday that it has upgraded its cash and miles program, enabling customers to redeem more miles when purchasing tickets.
Beginning Thursday, the maximum amount of miles that can be redeemed was raised to 30 percent from the previous 20 percent, as per the company’s statement.
The cash and miles program is a choice that allows SKYPASS members to pay for tickets using a combination of cash and award miles, and is available for all departure dates and booking classes.
The national flag carrier implemented the cash and miles program in 2021 to give customers more opportunities to use the miles they have earned.
The carrier’s SKYPASS program rewards members by granting them SKYPASS miles and acquiring award miles from multiple airline and hotel partnerships.
