DUSHANBE, 21.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 19, as part of the opening ceremony of the first stage of the water supply and sanitation investment project in Bokhtar, the Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said encountered the World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan Ozan Sevimli.
Davlatali Said discussed the region’s potential and advantageous conditions for reforms, investments, growth of agriculture, irrigation, water supply, production and industry, as well as tourism development.
A dialogue was held regarding the outcomes of research on water supply and sewerage in the Khatlon region.
It was stated that to successfully secure investments within the framework of the water supply, sanitation and waste management project, mechanisms of interaction with citizens, communities, development partners and pertinent government agencies in the target districts (Kushoniyon, Vakhsh, Jaloliddin Balkhi, Dusti and Jayhun).
The sides talked about the likelihood of executing measures in the direction of establishing entrepreneurship, creating jobs, manufacturing innovative products, and increasing the country’s export potential.
The meeting also focused on matters of broadening mutual cooperation in the field of new technologies and prospects for the development of relations.
