KG Mobility, formerly SsangYong Motor Co., announced on Friday that their sales had grown by 1.7 percent in August when compared to the same time period in the previous year. This was the result of a noteworthy surge in exports.

The company reported that 10,823 vehicles had been sold last month, a jump from 10,645 the year before. However, domestic sales decreased by 44 percent from 6,923 to 3,903.

From January to August, total sales rose by 26 percent from 68,926 to 86,636. Domestic sales increased by 14 percent from 41,200 to 46,915, while exports skyrocketed by 43 percent from 27,726 to 39,721.

KG Mobility’s lineup includes the Tivoli, Korando, Rexton, Rexton Sports, and Torres SUVs, with the Torres EVX set to be released in the domestic market this month. The EVX is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery system and can travel more than 420 kilometers on a single charge.
