The Korea Professional Football League (K League) achieved a remarkable feat on Saturday, setting a new single-season attendance record. A total of 1.83 million spectators attended the 176 matches of the 2023 season, surpassing the previous record of 1.82 million in 228 games from 2019.

This marks the highest number of paid viewers since K League began counting in 2018. With more than 50 matches remaining in the season, the league is projected to hit the 2 million mark by the end of the year. On average, 10,400 fans attended each game this season.
