Jewelry of the Emir of Bukhara Discovered in Kuwait

During a visit organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait, a delegation led by Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, visited the Tareq Rajab Museum and met with its Director, Ziad Rajab. The museum, situated in the capital of Kuwait, houses a vast collection of over 30,000 ancient and contemporary artifacts. The museum was established by Kuwaiti businessman Tareq Sayid Rajab in 1980 and has been in operation since then. The delegation members announced their plans to bring in approximately 50 international collections for an upcoming exhibition at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. This event will be the first of its kind in global museology, uniting numerous exhibitions showcasing the heritage of a single country. Ziad Rajab expressed his admiration for the construction of the Center for Islamic Civilization, led by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and expressed his desire to collaborate in the future. He also highlighted the historical significance of exhibiting artifacts from the Tareq Rajab Museum in Uzbekistan, which houses valuable exhibits related to Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, including 14th-century copies of Avicenna’s Canon of Medicine, jewelry belonging to the Emir of Bukhara and his relatives, miniatures from the Shaybanid era, and many other artifacts.
