Uzbekistan’s Samarkand region and China had a discussion to develop their economic and social ties and explore new investments. Nozir Ibragimov, Assistant to the Regional Hokim for Local Industry Development, spoke about the investment opportunities in Samarkand region and the reforms being made to improve the investment climate.
The delegation visited a tea processing plant and an oil refinery in Xiangyang, and signed agreements with the city’s mayor to collaborate with businesses. The team also attended the 30th China Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Fair, where the Uzbekistan pavilion was featured. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the People’s Republic of China Farkhod Arziyev was present at the opening of the event.
