On Friday, SEOUL (Yonhap) reported that the powertrain of Hyundai Motor Co.’s all-electric Ioniq 6 sedan had been selected as one of the 2023 Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems. This annual award from WardsAuto acknowledges the most impressive powertrain improvements and innovations. The Ioniq 6 was chosen for its performance, charging ability, range and cost, according to a statement from Hyundai.
The Ioniq 5 SUV had also been selected for the same award in the prior year. Both vehicles are constructed on the E-GMP platform, made exclusively by Hyundai Motor Group. WardsAuto contributing editor, Drew Winter, commented in the statement that the IONIQ 6’s power delivery, efficiency, and enjoyable driving experience made it stand out from the competition.
