In commemoration of the 1050th anniversary of the renowned scientist and thinker Abu Rayhon Beruni’s birth, the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan put together an international exhibition project titled “Honoring Abu Rayhon Beruni: An Exhibition of His Geographical and Intellectual Journeys.” The exhibition was hosted at UNESCO headquarters from 5-8 September 2023.
To accompany the opening of the exhibition, a 200-page scientific catalog containing essays from leading Uzbekistan and international scientists was released. The Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan donated copies of the catalog to UNESCO permanent missions around the world, as well as libraries and research institutes in the country.
