At the Ashgabat International Airport, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, welcomed Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, who had come to Turkmen capital to take part in a trilateral summit meeting.
The Hero-Arkadag greeted the esteemed guest to the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land with warmth and expressed his gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for accepting the invitation to visit the Turkmenistan. He was confident that the upcoming high-level talks during this visit would provide a great chance to discuss the prospects of a trilateral dialogue among Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, and to expand their relationship in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and other fields.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the current status and potential for further development of Turkmen-Tajik relations, taking into account the priorities of the socio-economic development of the two nations.
