Head of Boston Consulting Group Visits President of Uzbekistan

On September 20, Rich Lesser, Global Chair of the Boston Consulting Group, paid a visit to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at his residence in New York City. The President acknowledged the active involvement of the American consulting firm in projects intended to enhance the management program of major companies in Uzbekistan. The Boston Consulting Group office was opened in Tashkent in the previous year.

During their discussion, they talked about the potential of artificial intelligence and how it can be used to develop a long-term, comprehensive Strategy for the transition to a knowledge economy. They also discussed an industrial development program, a master plan for the energy sector of Uzbekistan, and other relevant topics.

The two leaders also touched upon the prospects of working together on projects to improve the efficiency of working with investors in regards to the development of Uzbekistan’s regions, the transformation and privatization of state-owned enterprises and banks, the modernization of banks’ digital infrastructure, urban development, and expert support for energy-related projects.
