Governor of Bank of Korea to Participate in Bank for International Settlements Events in Switzerland

South Korea’s central banking leader, Rhee Chang-yong, will be attending meetings of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Switzerland beginning this coming Sunday, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).

The Governor of the BOK will be traveling to Basel on Saturday to join the Global Economy Meeting, the Asian Consultative Council, and the Meeting of the Group of Governors and Heads of Supervision. He will also be part of the Board of Directors and Economic Consultative Committee to discuss current economic and financial market conditions globally.

Rhee is expected to return to South Korea on Wednesday.
