Uzaviation Agency personnel, wearing traditional garb, hosted the Khan-Atlas festival in Uzbekistan, which was created to introduce the youth to national values and to safeguard and promote cultural heritage.
Competitions were held at the military unit of the South-Western Special Military District in Karshi, with teams of military spouses and female Armed Forces members demonstrating their skills in a variety of tasks. There was also a presentation of khan-atlas-made national costumes.
The holiday was also celebrated in the military unit of Zangiata district of Tashkent region. Speakers noted that the distinctive Uzbek khan-atlas, with its special design, is renowned around the world. Popular designers and fashion designers incorporate it into their collections.
