Exploring Uzbekistan’s Cultural Heritage at the Gugun Museum

The Gugun Museum in Beijing is currently hosting the “Cooperation in Cultural Heritage and Archeology” exhibition as part of the Belt and Road Forum. On display are more than 80 museum pieces from China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates. Uzbekistan has contributed 18 artifacts from the collections of the State Museum of History and the Institute of Art History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, such as a pendant with a sculptural image of a sphinx (II-I centuries BC), a fragment of the sculpture “Warrior’s Head” (I century BC – I century AD), and a two-handed jug (II- III centuries AD). These items are being showcased with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation.

The exhibition will be open until January 5, 2024, according to the Art and Culture Development Foundation.
