Located 500 km from Navoi region’s core, the Oqtog-Tomdi reserve was established by a decree from the Head of state. Spanning 40 thousand hectares, the area is home to 33 plant species and 23 animal species listed in Uzbekistan’s Red Book. 20 inspectors and researchers are assigned to the reserve to protect the flora and fauna.

To support the inspectors’ work, a two-story house was built in Tomdibuloq village in Tomdi district. Additionally, 12 walkie-talkies and drones will be provided to them for prevention of offences.
