The Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection conducted an exchange of experience with the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism of Croatia, supported by the German Society for International Cooperation, in order to advance the knowledge in the area of quarantine and plant protection, and to bring research methods up to international standards.

During the project, the experts visited the grape plantation of the Agrolaguna company in Porec, to explore the techniques used to grow disease- and pest-resistant grape varieties, and gain insight into the practice of harvesting ripe produce in Croatia.

The Institute’s research on plant protection, climate change adaptation, and economic accounting system were highly praised. It is hoped that this knowledge will be integrated into the domestic field of phytosanitary.
