The Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of Tajikistan has announced that Electronic Gates will soon be installed at the country’s international airports.
This initiative, supported by President Emomali Rahmon and the Civil Aviation Agency, is in accordance with the Governmental Resolution signed in December 2024, which outlines the use of the “Electronic Gates” at international airports in Tajikistan.
Tajik citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons will have the option to use these gates for border control.
Passengers must insert their travel document into the passport reader and follow the instructions displayed on the screen to complete the process. Only one passenger can use the gate at a time.
The main goal of this project is to simplify border control, reduce pre-flight and post-flight registration time, boost tourism, enhance border security, improve airport services, and align with international standards. The installation of Electronic Gates has been completed at Dushanbe International Airport and will soon be implemented at other international airports in Tajikistan.
