The 2023 World Scout Jamboree in Saemangeum, North Jeolla Province, was at risk of ending early when some countries decided to leave the campsite. This was due to issues such as extreme heat, illnesses, inadequate facilities, and unclean bathrooms. The UK and US contingents were the first to depart, followed by the Singapore team. However, other nations chose to stay and support the host country’s efforts to improve conditions. The government responded by providing air-conditioned buses and tour programs, while local governments and businesses donated supplies and opened temples as campsites. After the event is over, an investigation must be conducted to evaluate the problems with the campsite selection, drainage, and budget management. The main goal now is to ensure that participants have a safe and enjoyable experience.
