DUSHANBE, 02.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Exports of natural health products from Tajikistan this year have increased by 63.25 million somoni in comparison to the previous year. This was announced on September 29 during the Dushanbe International Investment Forum — 2023 in the section “Investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, prospects for the development of the pharmaceutical sector and private medicine in Tajikistan.”
The quantity of medicines and medical products produced in Tajikistan in 2022 has tripled from the same period the year before.
The State Program for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Tajikistan for 2021-2025 is being successfully implemented to expand the pharmaceutical industry in the country.
As part of the program, 58 domestic enterprises have begun to manufacture 560 types of medicines and medical products.
These enterprises have created new jobs for more than 450 experts and workers, and up to 4,000 workers are employed in seasonal work.
