DUSHANBE, 03.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda, Director of the Export Agency, and Obert Pimhidzai and Chiyu Niyu, representatives of the World Bank E-commerce Project, held a meeting to consider the current state and potential of cooperation to increase the export of Tajik products and enter the international market through e-commerce, as well as to enhance and expand collaboration in the field of marketing and logistics.
The gathering also focused on the development of logistics centers for packaging, processing, reservation, storage, and export of goods abroad.
The Director of the Agency mentioned that the necessary steps have been taken to deal with logistics issues and that foreign investment is required to set up logistics centers.
The participants talked about the techniques utilized in the harvesting process, existing issues in the agricultural export process, areas of cooperation, and future plans to export fresh fruits such as lemons, cherries, and grapes to China using e-commerce.
The World Bank representatives expressed their willingness to collaborate with the Export Agency to back the agency’s suggestions.
