Dialogue Between Uzbekistan and Russian Presidents Focus on Strengthening Strategic Partnership

On August 9, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, had a telephone conversation to discuss ways to advance the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries.

The leaders highlighted the importance of further developing trade and economic relations, as well as actively promoting humanitarian exchange.

They also discussed the schedule of upcoming events and urged for the early holding of a meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, Uzbekistan – Russia Interregional, Educational, and Media forums.

The two presidents also exchanged views on regional cooperation matters.
