The Korea Customs Service announced on Thursday that it had confiscated approximately two million illegal items worth 30 billion won (roughly US$23.12 million) during the first half of the year. The items included counterfeit luxury brand products and dietary supplements that violated food sanitation regulations. An investigation into online open markets and luxury brand retailers will be conducted this month, with results to be announced at the end of the year. The seized goods were intended to be sold through social media and online platforms in South Korea.
