The Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Journalists of Türkiye (Türkiye Gazeteciler Federasyonu) have recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Ankara to promote the exchange of experiences between media representatives of the two nations and organize joint events. Kholmurod Salimov, Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, expressed his delight at the strong ties between the two countries, which are based on a common language, history, culture, and traditions, and are now being further strengthened through journalism.
The agreement stipulates that the delegation sent to share knowledge should not exceed six people, and the trip should not be longer than seven days. The host journalists are responsible for covering expenses such as accommodation, meals, internal transport, and translation services for the delegation members, while the sending party of the media group only needs to purchase round-trip tickets. The parties also assist each other in matters such as preparing programs. Mokhigul Qosimova, UzA
