On the 26th of September 2023, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan welcomed Tatsuya Watanabe, a senior consultant for strategic affairs of the Japanese corporation “Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.”, who had come to the country to attend the 32nd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s sacred Independence.
The guest congratulated the Head of State for obtaining the title of Hero of Turkmenistan and the main holiday of the nation, sending wishes of peace, prosperity, and success to the whole Turkmen people in their path of sovereign development.
The President expressed his gratitude for the kind words and expressed his confidence that the visit of the representative of the major Japanese company will give a new impetus to the further expansion of the interstate relations. He highlighted the fact that Turkmenistan is currently focused on industrialization, diversification of the national economy, and the production of high-quality goods that would be competitive in the international market. At the same time, the country is actively seeking to attract the experience of advanced countries and the accomplishments of leading foreign companies.
The fruitful partnership between “Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.” and the state concerns “Türkmenhimiýa” and “Türkmengaz” has grown significantly in recent years, with the successful completion of the construction of production complexes.
During the meeting, the prospects for further cooperation in the light of the programs of modernization and intensification of the national economy were discussed.
