SEJONG, Oct. 5 (Yonhap) — The cost of living in South Korea rose 3.7% compared to the same time last year in September, with higher prices of utility services and manufactured goods, according to Statistics Korea.
In August, consumer prices increased 3.4 percent year-on-year, a higher rate than the 2.3 percent growth seen in July.
The Bank of Korea held the key interest rate at 3.5 percent in August, as it took into account a slowdown in growth and moderating inflation.
