The 16th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS recently took place in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. This event also included the 29th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the CIS at the Ala-Archa State Residence.
Erbol Sultanbaev, Press Secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, opened the gathering and stated President Sadyr Zhaparov’s support of the Council’s efforts to strengthen the bond between the countries.
The meeting’s agenda included advancing collaboration in the media space, creating an interim report, executing joint projects, and selecting the Chairman of the Council. In addition, the participants discussed the significance of preserving impartiality and fighting false information.
At the end of the gathering, TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov was selected as the new Director of the Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the CIS. Khushnud Khudoyberdiyev, First Deputy Director General of Uzbekistan National News Agency, attended the meeting as an observer.
