Every year in China, starting from October 1, the main public holiday is widely celebrated – the Founding Day of the People’s Republic of China. This day marks the announcement of the founding of the People’s Republic of China at a demonstration held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing in 1949. Celebrating the Chinese National Day for five days has become a good tradition and is referred to as “Golden Week”.

The festivities in the capital’s central square continue in the evening with magnificent fireworks. Cities all across China are decorated with flowers, and people feel a sense of pride for their country. These days of joy can be compared to the celebration of Independence Day in Uzbekistan.

Tourism industry workers offer various programs for foreign guests and travelers who want to attend the holiday, indicating the country’s developed tourism sector.

The Chinese people have managed to create a beautiful and powerful country, which is in the spotlight of the world community. Countries become attractive due to their prosperity and peace-loving people, and governments must protect the honor and dignity of their citizens and provide all opportunities and conditions for the population.

Uzbekistan is also enhancing cooperation with the comprehensively developed China. A gala reception was held in Tashkent in connection with the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by heads of foreign countries’ diplomatic missions, international organizations, and representatives of science, culture, and art. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov took part in the ceremony on behalf of the Government of Uzbekistan.

The Chinese Ambassador noted with satisfaction that cooperation is effectively developing in the cultural and humanitarian sphere and confirmed that his country is interested in further developing traditional friendship and strategic partnership with Uzbekistan. It is planned to increase the annual volume of bilateral trade by more than $10 billion in order to ensure consistent cooperation in industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and many others. New frontiers are outlined in renewable energy, green development, and poverty reduction.

Uzbekistan fully supports the Global Security Initiative and the Global Development Initiative promoted by China to create new international relations and build a community with a shared future for humanity. This approach was especially evident during the National Day of the People’s Republic of China celebration.

A festive and friendly atmosphere reigned during the reception, which lasted more than two hours. Guests learned about China’s success over the past ten years, watched a video about the development of bilateral relations, and viewed an exhibition of achievements of China – Uzbekistan practical cooperation within the framework of the joint implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. Samples of Chinese classical music performed by the “Sugdiyona” folk orchestra and demonstrations of Chinese martial arts performed by Uzbekistan children delighted everyone.
