Central Asian Leaders Gather in Dushanbe for Fifth Consultative Meeting

Leaders of Central Asian countries have come together in Dushanbe for the fifth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, President Emomali Rahmon of the Republic of Tajikistan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan are all in attendance.

The summit agenda focuses on deepening cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian areas, as well as exploring opportunities for collaboration in fuel and energy, transport and communications, and other sectors. The heads of state are also expected to address issues of mutual interest in international and regional politics.
