Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 1 (ANI/BusinessWire India): Bumble, the well-known dating and social networking app, is introducing the third installment of its popular content series, Dating These Nights. The series (trailer here) is set to launch on September 2, 2022 on Bumble’s YouTube channel. It features Zoya Akhtar, Mrunal Thakur, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Jim Sarbh, Vijay Varma and Srishti Dixit, and is designed to help people explore and discuss modern romance and dating in 2022.

The first episode, ‘Romances and Bromances’, will have award-winning filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and actor Jim Sarbh delving into “modern masculinity”, looking at what healthy masculinity looks like. The second episode, ‘Age of Love’, will see popular actors Mrunal Thakur and Shriya Pilgaonkar discussing dating in one’s 30s. The final episode, ‘Banking on Love’, will feature Vijay Varma from the film ‘Darlings’ and influencer Srishti Dixit, who will explore nuances of financial intimacy in relationships.

Samarpita Samaddar, India Communications Director at Bumble, said, “We are delighted to be bringing back our content series for its third edition this year. We’re flipping the switch with this after-hours series, where we don’t sleep over it, instead we delve into deeper and more meaningful conversations around topics that are often considered taboo but need to be discussed openly. We are proud to be working with some amazing talent who have made their own paths in life. We hope Dating These Nights sparks more meaningful conversations and encourages healthy and equitable relationships.”

Zoya Akhtar said, “Bumble’s Dating These Nights provides a platform to start conversations on less-tackled topics around modern relationships that should be discussed openly.” Jim Sarbh added, “I don’t put myself into ‘what should be’ in terms of gender ideas. Masculinity is subjective, and we should accept people for who they are, not try to fit them into societal norms. I’m glad to be engaged in conversations that go beyond the traditional notions, and to be working with Bumble again.”

Mrunal Thakur said, “In my 30s, I’m more assertive about my priorities. People I meet in their 30s are clear about what they want. I’m seeking that kind of transparency. Being a part of Dating These Nights has been an eye-opening process, as I’ve been able to discover myself more.” Shriya Pilgaonkar said, “As you age, your idea of love matures. We become more comfortable with ourselves, and this comes from self-love. I’m happy that I can pursue life the way I want in my 30s.”

Vijay Varma shared, “We talk about money all the time, but we don’t like to ask direct questions about finances, as they make us feel insecure. We need to destigmatize this on the first date, by asking questions like, ‘Who will pay for the date?’ or ‘Do we split the check?’ We should get our partner comfortable with discussing money from the start. It’s important to have a space to openly talk about these matters in a relationship, and I’m glad Bumble is taking the effort to make this mainstream.” Srishti Dixit said, “Growing up, girls are taught to be very careful with their money. A lot of them are still learning how to manage their finances better, and be assertive in such situations. I’m glad to be associated with Bumble to emphasize the importance of financial independence in a relationship.”
