The 12th Asia Pacific International Legal Forum was held, with Bakhtiyor Islamov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, attending virtually.
The forum, centered on the topic of “Balancing the Protection of National Interests and the Rights of Participants in International Economic Relations,” was attended by the chairpersons and judges of the Supreme Courts of Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, China, South Korea, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Conversations at the forum revolved around cross-border legal relations, national justice, the safeguarding of business rights, and the equilibrium of interests in litigation.
The delegates were also able to explore the use of legislation on measures of socio-economic support for entrepreneurship by economic courts in Uzbekistan.
