A festive event honoring Navruz was held in Tashkent, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center. The occasion brought together individuals from various fields, such as science, culture, and the arts, from both Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, including university faculty, students, and media professionals. The ceremony was opened by Huseyn Guliyev, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, who highlighted the historical significance of Navruz for Turkic-speaking communities and emphasized its role as a symbol of peace, humanism, and unity. Akif Marifli, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center, also spoke about the abundance, prosperity, and strong connection to traditions represented by Navruz. The concert program featured performances by renowned Azerbaijani artists, accompanied by talented musicians, and traditional dances were performed by the “Azerbaijan” ensemble. The celebration concluded with traditional Navruz customs, including national games, a tea ceremony, and a bonfire, where guests joined in traditional dances.
