Aydin Huseynov, Deputy of the Milli Majlis and Member of the Working Group on Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan Inter-Parliamentary Relations, has expressed his views on the strong ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. There has always been a strong bond between the two countries, which has been further strengthened and developed through shared linguistic, cultural, and historical roots.

The recent visit of newly elected Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Azerbaijan was of great political significance. During his visit, numerous agreements were made in logistics, culture, tourism, and other areas.

One of the most important contributions of the people of Uzbekistan to the development of friendly relations between the two countries was the construction of a comprehensive school in the Fuzuli district, which was liberated from Armenian occupation. This school bears the name of the great Uzbek scientist Mirzo Ulugbek.

The relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are actively developing in all spheres, and Uzbekistan has a powerful potential and great authority in Central Asia and the international arena. Our cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and other international platforms is also yielding effective results.

Aydin Huseynov wishes both countries and their people success and prosperity. He emphasized that the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan is historic and that our cooperation and friendly ties will continue to grow for the benefit of our countries and people.
