Tashkent hosted the “Pearl of the Silk Road” Film Festival, which saw nearly 300 filmmakers, actors, directors and camera operators, producers, and analysts from 52 countries in attendance. The audience was particularly excited to meet the famous French actor Frédéric Diefenthal, known to Uzbek audiences for his role in the film “Taxi”, and the renowned Turkish singer Ayla Çelik.
At the National Film Contest, Khoshim Arslonov was honored with the “Best Actor” award for his performance in “Flight 101”, while Rano Shodiyeva was recognized as the “Best Actress” for her role in “A Woman’s Fate”. Ali Khamroyev was awarded “Best Director” for the film “Melon Freshness in Samarkand”, and Kamara Kamalova’s movie “What to Call You” was named “Best Film”. UzA
