The South Korean government has been taking steps to stop the spread of lumpy skin disease, a contagious illness that affects cattle. As of Thursday, November 2, approximately half of the nation’s cows had been administered vaccines to fight the outbreak.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated that the goal is to vaccinate all cattle by November 10. Since the first confirmed case of lumpy skin disease on October 20, a total of 74 instances have been reported, with no new cases reported on Thursday.
