On Tuesday, Amorepacific Corp. revealed that its third-quarter net income had risen 22.2 percent year-on-year to 26.6 billion won (US$19.7 million).
The company stated in a regulatory filing that its operating income for the three-month period of July-September was 8.2 percent lower than the previous year at 17.3 billion won, while revenue had dropped 5.1 percent to 888.8 billion won.
The operating profit was 53.2 percent lower than the average prediction according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency. There was no available estimate for the net profit.
