DUSHANBE, 20.12.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and Russia have recently taken a move to foster their relationship in the agricultural sector, having inked a “road map” to strengthen joint work in the field of agriculture for 2024-2026.
Kurbon Hakimzoda and Dmitry Patrushev, the Ministers of Agriculture of the two countries, met in Moscow to finalize the agreement.
The ministers discussed a range of topics related to collaboration in the agricultural sector and agreed to increase the import of sunflower seeds, sugar beets to Tajikistan and the export of trout to Russia.
In addition, they agreed on providing retraining and advanced training to agricultural staff from both countries at agricultural universities.
