On September 27th, in honor of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day, the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai (UAE), was lit up with the colors of the National Flag of our country. This stunning display of illumination transformed the 828-meter tall structure into a magnificent red-green tower covered in Turkmen gels and a crescent moon with five stars, a powerful symbol of friendship and brotherhood.
Topping the skyline with its 180-meter metal spire, this grand skyscraper is an iconic feature of Dubai’s business district.
In addition, in Cappadocia, Turkey, a popular tourist destination, a balloon with the words “Congratulations on the Independence Day of Turkmenistan!” and “Long live the Turkmen-Turkish relations of friendship and brotherhood” was released into the sky in honor of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day.
The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey are longstanding and major trading and economic partners of Turkmenistan. Business ties between the three countries are flourishing in a number of areas, including through business structures.
The interest of Emirati and Turkish businesses in strengthening their presence in the promising Turkmen market is also increasing, due to the forward-thinking investment policy implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the comprehensive transformation programs and projects deployed in the country, which are aimed at industrialization and the formation of a modern, diversified industrial infrastructure based on the introduction of advanced technologies and developments.
