DUSHANBE, 13.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Industrial products have been manufactured in the Khatlon region for a total of 209 varieties. During the first six months of this year, 23 new items have been created, such as carbon dioxide, urea, fluorine sulfide, sodium fluoride, kvass, and beer.
The region has produced industrial products worth over 4.7 billion somoni in the past half-year. This figure is 473.9 million somoni higher than the same period last year. Of this, 4.1 billion somoni, or 87.3%, was generated by industrial enterprises and 610.3 million somoni, or 12.7% (an increase of 3.2%), came from the private sector.
The sector of industry is responsible for 55% of the total volume, while electricity production and services account for 44.5%.
During the first six months of 2023, 83 industrial workshops were opened in the region, which have already produced goods worth 31.7 million somoni. This ratio is the same as last year.
As a result, the total number of industrial establishments in the region reached 792, which is 118 more than last year.
