DUSHANBE, 24.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The 88th International Exhibition of Agricultural Products, known as the “International Green Week,” will be held at the Berlin Exhibition grounds from January 19 to January 28.
On January 18, the Tajik delegation participated in the opening ceremony of the World Food Forum and the “Green Week 2024” international fair.
The National Corner of Tajikistan showcased environmentally friendly agricultural and food products, domestic company products, and displays of nature and folk crafts.
During the exhibition, the Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan held meetings with representatives from the World Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and the German company “BayWa.”
On January 20, the 16th Conference of Agriculture Ministers took place in Berlin, with the theme of “Food Systems of the Future: Together for a World Without Hunger.” The conference was chaired by the German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir and attended by agriculture ministers and representatives from international organizations.
A declaration was adopted at the end of the conference.
The “International Green Week” exhibition was founded in 1926 and has been held annually in Berlin. This year marks its 88th edition, with 1,400 exhibitors from 61 countries showcasing food products, domestic animals, livestock, and agricultural machinery on an area of more than 118,000 square meters. The exhibition is expected to attract around 300,000 visitors.
