On Monday, the South Korean government initiated its 16th annual training program for senior financial administrators from 13 Asian countries. This program, which will end on Friday, has been organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and includes 20 director-level officials from nations such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

The program is designed to provide these nations with an understanding of South Korea’s financial policies and approaches to economic development. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with experts and visit the Bank of Korea and other significant financial organizations.

The training program was first established in 2006 to improve economic and financial relations between South Korea and ASEAN and Central Asian nations. After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program was resumed last year.
