Discussions between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron continued in an extended form with the participation of official delegations from both nations.
At the start of the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan expressed appreciation to the President of France for coming to Uzbekistan with a comprehensive delegation, which included officials, heads of major companies, renowned cultural and scientific figures.
“This is a clear indication of your personal attention and special approach to further developing and strengthening the bond and multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and France”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted.
It was noted that due to regular meetings at the highest level, relations between Uzbekistan and France have become comprehensive.
The parties agreed to keep up active political contacts and regular dialogue between parliaments, governments, foreign policy, and economic agencies.
The dynamic increase of trade turnover, expected to reach €1 billion soon, was noted with satisfaction. The portfolio of current and future projects surpasses €10 billion.
Such French business leaders as Orano, EDF, Total, SUEZ, Eiffage, Voltalia, Lactalis, Veolia, and many others are successfully running operations in Uzbekistan.
