The thirtieth anniversary of TURKSOY was marked with a grand cultural celebration in Tashkent, with Azerbaijan’s Baku set to be the next host. Representing Uzbekistan were opera singers Shirin Mamatova, Umid Israilov, bakhshi Muhammad Torebekov, a tambourine ensemble, and the dance group “Navruz”. Their performances were met with enthusiastic applause, demonstrating that art is a universal language that can touch people’s hearts.
The Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan also announced that similar events will be held in Ankara, Turkey.
