DUSHANBE, 17.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda attended a meeting of Governors from the Middle East and Central Asia hosted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Morocco.
At the gathering, the participants were given a summary of the economic situation in the region.
The discussion also focused on the effects of increasing interest rates on the banking system, ways to increase domestic investment in countries to reduce risks, strengthening the regulation and oversight of state-owned banks to ensure financial stability, as well as the regulation and coordination of macroprudential and anti-crisis measures.
