Navbakhor Khamidova will compete for the World Championship title today

The Women’s World Boxing Championship finals will take place in Niš, Serbia today. Uzbekistan’s Navbakhor Khamidova has qualified for the final round and will be fighting for the gold medal in the -66 kg weight category against Busenaz Sürmeneli from Türkiye. A face-off ceremony was held yesterday for all the boxers who made it to the finals. Additionally, boxers who were eliminated in the quarterfinals were given a cash prize of $10,000. This includes Uzbekistan’s Sitora Turdibekova, Sokhiba Ruzmetova, Nigina Uktamova, and Aziza Zokirova. It is worth noting that the gold medalists of the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships will receive a cash prize of $100,000, while silver medalists will get $50,000 and bronze medalists will receive $25,000.
