In 2023, Tajikistan’s economy received $2.7 billion in foreign investment, which is $113.6 million or 4.4% more than the previous year. This information was shared by Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management, during a press conference on February 13.
Rahimzoda also mentioned that in 2023, Tajik entrepreneurs hosted a virtual meeting with business owners from Switzerland and Spain to showcase the country’s investment opportunities and attract direct investment. Additionally, there were various events and forums held in Tajikistan and other countries, such as Belarus, Russia, London, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Korea, the Czech Republic, and Germany, to promote investment in Tajikistan. These events resulted in the signing of multiple trade and investment agreements, which are currently being implemented by both government and private organizations.
