DUSHANBE, 14.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – During the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP14) on February 12, the Chairman of Tajikistan’s Committee for Environmental Protection, Bahodur Sheralizoda, held a meeting with the Director of the Global Environment Facility, Carlos Manuel Rodriguez.
The discussion centered on issues such as climate change, loss of biodiversity, environmental pollution, and other related matters of importance.
Sheralizoda also highlighted Tajikistan’s global initiatives to address water and climate issues at an international level, as well as their implementation by environmental funds and development partners.
The two parties agreed to strengthen cooperation between Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility in the areas of biodiversity, climate change, and environmental protection.
