On Wednesday, Yonhap News Agency, South Korea’s leading newswire, inked a deal with Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry to publicize the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of South Korean businesses in Vietnam.
In accordance with the memorandum of understanding, Yonhap will regularly distribute news of South Korean firms’ CSR endeavors in the Southeast Asian nation to promote bilateral economic cooperation and collaboration. Yonhap will submit related content to VNA, which will incorporate the material into its digital newspaper.
A signing ceremony was held in Seoul, attended by Seong Ghi-hong, CEO and president of Yonhap, and VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang. Seong and Trang discussed the importance of media in enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries, in addition to the notable progress in trade and investment.
